Candle Safety

The Wally Wax Creative Candles team is strongly committed to fostering high levels of safety — during production, while the product sits on the shelf, and once it enters someone’s home.

We provide the standard warning label on the base of our candles. There is information at Point of Sale and across our website. A burning-instructions card is provided with every purchase. We place stickers on packaging, and incorporate safety information wherever we can.

We remind users to remove all packaging, skewers, and straws, and to place the candle on a heatproof surface, as it may overflow. Excess wax can be slowly added back to the burning candle, or reused in a wax melter.

Our new Cake range needs to be placed in a heat-proof vessel of similar size before lighting.

And when you think all that is more than enough, we also conduct regular testing of our candle range. Wally Wax Quality Control Specialist (and friend) Sharon burns many tester candles, providing photos at different stages of burning, and feedback on key aspects such as flame size, wax overflow, and melt pool size.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we will continue to warn, inform, and advise.

More information including candle care tips and tricks will be uploaded, so stay tuned!
